Why no overdubs

The band had spent eight months making a version of this album the conventional way and hated all of it. Scrapping it and playing the songs live was their idea; our only contribution was agreeing quickly and booking the room before anyone changed their mind.

Five hundred, gone in a fortnight. There will not be a repress — that is the arrangement with every artist on the label and it has never once been worth breaking.
