Field Notes for a Flooded Town

Aoife spent eleven months lowering hydrophones into a reservoir that covers a village cleared in the nineteen-fifties. The clarinet arrived last and does very little, deliberately.

The booklet

Twenty pages of Aoife’s own notes and the surveyor’s drawings of the village before it went under. It is half the record, and the reason this one costs more than the rest of the catalogue.

A warning about the low end

There is content below 30Hz on the first side that small speakers will simply not reproduce. This is not a mastering fault, it is the reservoir, and we decided not to filter it out.
